Liverpool to pip Arsenal in battle for Pulisic
According to reports in the The Sun, Liverpool will pip Premier League rivals Arsenal in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Christian Pulisic.
The journal suggests that the highly-rated 18-year-old USA midfielder will be heading to Anfield and not The Emirates due to the boss Jurgen Klopp’s connection with the Bundesliga giants. Another factor behind any potential sale is that the Merseyside club are owned by Fenway Sports Group, a US based company that is keen to see players from their homeland wearing the famous red jersey.
Klopp was in charge at the Westfalenstadion when Pulisic arrived in Germany and has always had high hopes for the youngster who has now made his full international debut for the USA national team after a phenomenal scoring record at both under 15 and under 17 levels.
Pulisic recently stated how happy he was with life in Germany explain that; “The Bundesliga is a very strong league. Every weekend you’re playing a great game, whether it’s a team in second place or a team in last place. You know you’re going to have a fight out there. I’ve learned so much”.
