Arsenal consider emerging Bundesliga manager as possible replacement for Wenger

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal contract runs until the end of the season and after 21 years in North London, Wenger’s time at the club could be over. There are many contrasting reports regarding the French manager’s future. According to some papers, Wenger could sign a contract extension with Arsenal before the end of the season, according to some others, this is going to be Wenger’s last campaign at the club.

Today’s edition of The Sun goes further revealing one of Wenger’s possible successors. The British tabloid claims that Leipzig’s boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, 49, could be the ideal candidate to replace the French tactician.

Hasenhuttl is under contract with Bundesliga table leaders Leipzig. He signed for the club last summer and is contract with the German club expires in June 2019.

His style is pretty similar to those of Jurgen Klopp or Mauricio Pochettino. Hasenhuttl is an ambitious manager who loves aggressive football as much as his counterparts in the Premier League do, not to mention that his favourite system is the 4-3-3 which could be easily applied to this Arsenal squad.

Wenger’s Arsenal future is in doubt, Hasenhuttl could be picked to replace the Frenchman at Arsenal.
