Antonio Conte puts Fabregas’ Chelsea future into doubt
The Italian tactician had said a few days ago that he wants the Spanish midfielder to stay at the Stamford Bridge in January, but that’s what he added today: “I can’t guarantee that Fabregas will stay here. It’s an important player who did well against Man City and WBA, but I can’t say more than this.”
Antonio Conte is an admirer of the former Barcelona star although Ngolo Kante and Nemanja Matic are usually playing in centre midfield instead of the 29-year-old midfielder who is being struggling with game time at the Stamford Bridge so far this season.
Fabregas is said to have rejected a move to China with an undefined club that had offered him a salary of € 31 million a year. Roma, AC Milan and Juventus are rumoured to be interested in signing him in January.
