Allegri: "I'm a fan of Sassuolo in Europe. Lichtsteiner will play, Higuain perhaps, Alves-Barzagli no"
Serie A resumes on Saturday evening and Juventus kick-off proceedings at home to Sassuolo. Coach Massimo Allegri has been holding his pre-match press conference and calciomercato.com’s Juve correspondent Nicola Balice was present.
SASSUOLO & THE TURNOVER – “It will be a tough match against Sassuolo, a squad that always makes life difficult for Juventus. I’m a fan of theirs when they play in Europe but we need to take all three points as we start a cycle of seven matches consecutive every three days. It’s necessary to utilize the whole squad and keep the tension high”.
CHANGES – “I can change a number players game by game but we have to keep the equilibrium. We’ve all been together since early August. In the past few days the squad has got back together after the international break but Dani Alves only arrived back yesterday afternoon and Cuadrado has yet to really join in training”.
CUADRADO – “We are finalising all the documentation and he will be available for selection”.
LICHSTEINER – “It was my decision to leave him out of the Champions League squad but he remains important to Juve and he will play tomorrow”.
HIGUAIN – “He has a great chance of playing against Sassuolo”.
SEVILLA – “We are taking it one game at a time. Up to now in attack we have played Dybala, Mandzukic, Higuain and for a few minutes, Pjaca. We will need them all to fulfil our objectives”.
ABSENTEES – “Barzagli and Dani Alves will not play for sure”.
MARCHISIO – “Before he returns to first-team action I need to know that he’s 100% ready to go. He will still need time and we’ll get him back as quickly as we can”.
