Agent: Milan were close to PSG, Palace target Lucas Lima

Lucas Lima’s agent has confirmed what many of us suspected.

Speaking to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Edson Khodor revealed that his client had been close to AC Milan this summer, not to mention Crystal Palace, who saw a 15 million offer be rejected by Santos.

Lima, 26, is now a regular starter with Brazil’s national team, and was recently recommended to AC Milan by Serginho, in an exclusive CM interview two days ago.

“There was a 15m offer from Crystal Palace, but Lucas said no,” Khodor confirmed to the Gazzetta, “PSG and Valencia have scouted Lucas, and appreciate him.

“He’d like to play in Serie A, one can’t say no to a great club like Milan.”

Khodor went to great pains to specify exactly what his client can do on the pitch: “he can be like Borja Valero, someone of great skill who can improve the team’s quality and build up play.

“We’ve read what Serginho had to say, we can only thank him.”
