    From Spain: Calciopoli stopped De Gea from moving to Juventus

    If there was something that could make Juventus fans angry about Calciopoli [and trust us, there isn't], this little nugget may well qualify. 

    According to Madrid paper AS, David De Gea could have moved to Juventus back in 2006, but was persuaded to stay with Atletico Madrid after revelations about Calciopoli went public. 

    The Spanish daily confirms what former Bianconeri goalkeeper Michelangelo Rampulla said a few days ago on the matter.
     
    Juventus were eventually relegated to Serie B for their involvement in the match-fixing scandal, and had to start anew... with legend Gianluigi Buffon. At least they kept him, eh?
