Agent: ‘Inter, Juventus target Berardi not leaving in January’
Both Serie A clubs tried to sign Berardi last summer, but the Italian starlet decided to stay at Sassuolo to get regular game time and develop with his mentor Eusebio Di Francesco.
“Berardi is followed by Juventus and Inter. Both clubs wanted to sign him last summer, but he decided to stay at Sassuolo. I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future, but he’s definitely not going to leave Sassuolo in January.”
“Juventus had a verbal agreement with Sassuolo to sign Berardi last summer, but the player decided to stay so Juventus couldn’t activate their ‘unofficial’ close which is now expired.”
After a stunning start to the season with seven goals in the opening six games, however, Berardi has picked up a knee injury which is keeping him out of action, though his return is expected to be just around the corner.
“Berardi is close to return, I don’t know how long it could still take as I am not a doctor, but I know he’s going to make return soon.”
