In any case, Milan’s priority for the current transfer window remains the signing of a new wingback, but their task seems extremely difficult to accomplish: as reported earlier, the Lombard club has been overtaken by AS Roma in the hunt for Torino 25 year old Danilo D’Ambrosio, and, as explained by calciomercato.com, this has happened because the rossoneri’s coach Massimiliano Allegri has stopped the transfer of 22 year old attacking midfielder Riccardo Saponara to the granata. Moreover, interviewed by Eurosport, Claudio Vigorelli, agent of Newcastle United 23 year old Davide Santon has declared that his client has no intention to leave the Magpies.

City rivals Inter Milan are seeking a high-rated forward, but, as reported by AS, have been joined by Atletico de Madrid in the hunt for Paris Saint-Germain 28 year old Ezequiel Lavezzi.
