Official: Zenga sacked as Wolverhampton boss
Despite an encouraging start to the season, which saw the Wolves beating Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle, Zenga’s side have failed to live up to expectations and are now without a win in the last month. The last time that Wolverhampton snatched the three points was on the 24th of September when they beat Brentford for 3-1.
Zenga’s lads have collected four defeats and one draw since then and next week-end’s Blackburn clash was believed to be Zenga’s last chance to save his job.
Zenga is not the only one leaving Wolverhampton as the club’s GM Andrea Butti is also going to resign after the manager’s sacking. The English adventure of Walter Zenga is already over, an announcement of the club is expected in the next few hours.
