Zampa holds Palermo trio
Several Palermo players have been under the spotlight of transfer market speculation in recent hours but President Zamparini has denied any on-going negotiations.
Centre-back Matias Silvestre, who joined in the summer from Catania for 7M Euros and has so far been impressive in Rosanero, was reportedly close to Roma.
“This is just media crap, Roma would never dare to ask me for Silvestre,” explained the Sicilians patron.
Federico Balzaretti, instead, has every intention to join his family in France and has already been approached by Paris Saint-German sporting director Leonardo. But Zamparini, who seemed willing to negotiate his departure, has once again denied a potential deal: “Balzaretti is not going anywhere, he staying here with us”.
Ultimately, Armin Bacinovic should not move to Fiorentina despite his problems with manager Devis Mangia. Over the past few days, the player’s agent, Amir Ruznic, claimed that the Bacinovic won’t leave Palermo even though his favourite manager, Delio Rossi, has joined the Viola. The player urged the Rosanero fans to believe him.
“I want to stay in Palermo, I am really happy here. My duty as a player is to do my training and play at my best,” explained the Slovenian ace. “Rossi is a talented manager, but my only concern is doing well in Rosanero.”
