Wolfsburg, OFFICIAL: friendly organised in aid of Amatrice
The city of Wolfsburg has Italian in its blood due to the number of residents living in the city. La Gazzetta dello Sport writes that a football team founded by Italians called Lupo-Martini Wolfsburg, currently playing in the country’s fourth tier, have organised a friendly fixture with the city’s Bundesliga side to raise money for the victims of the Amatrice earthquake which struck last month. The game will be played on October 6 during the international break and the club’s President, Rocco Lochiatto explained that; “We are pleased that Wolfsburg accepted our request. We now hope that many spectators attend the game so we can raise as much money as possible for the victims”.
