WITSEL, NO JUVE: Bianconeri left furious by the Russians
23.00 - JUVE-WITSEL DEAL COLLAPSES after Zenit St Petersburg refused to authorise the players move to Turin. This now means Hernanes will also remain at the J Stadium until at least January.
22.35 - Zenit try to convince Lucescu that they do need to bring in a replacement for Axel Witsel. The block on the sale of the Belgian international to Juventus is preventing the sale of Hernanes to Genoa
19.40 - Juve remain calm despite a last minute hitch in their quest to sign Axel Witsel. The documentation has still not arrived from Zenit to complete the deal and the Russian club are desperately trying to bring in a replacement before releasing the Belgian international to the Italians.
Axel Witsel to Juventus, right? Maybe not, as the deal hits a last minute hitch. An agreement with Zenit St Petersburg looked for €18 million plus €2 million bonus looked to have been agreed but now reports suggest the Russians have raised the price and negotiations are continuing. Calciomercato.com has learnt that the transfer also has to go through some bureaucratic stages before completion.
