Why Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard won't go to Inter
It appears that Inter aren’t in the race for Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
Linked to a move to Inter recently by the Independent, Gerrard left LA Galaxy last week after the MLS Western Conference side was knocked out of the playoffs.
The idea was that Stevie G would get a playing role at the San Siro, where the midfield has yet to find much of a balance this season.
Rai Sport don’t agree, however: as revealed by Sunday evening show La Domenica Sportiva (via TuttoJuve), the Nerazzurri don’t want to work on their midfield, but on the back line, where things have hardly been rosy so far this campaign.
The likes of Victor Lindelof and Mateo Musacchio have been linked to Inter, targets shared in common with rivals AC Milan, with whom they drew last night, 2-2.
Gerrard played 504 Premier League games with Liverpool, scoring 120 times and earning 114 England Caps.
