Who is after Milan star Jeremy Menez?
Jeremy Menez is on his way out at AC Milan.
The former PSG fringe player has let it be known through his agent that he wants to leave… but few teams are lining up for the man who netted a spectacular 16 Serie A goals last season.
Why? The Frenchman’s multiple injuries and his consequent inability to ever establish himself in his second season has driven off many of the teams who initially appeared to be interested.
This applies to the Chinese clubs he turned down during the winter, not to mention Liverpool. Milan still want to get rid of his €5 million salary, but so far, according to L’Equipe, only Ligue 1 clubs have knocked at Milan’s door.
Guingamp is the first in line, though Menez wants to wait for someone more prestigious… like Marseille, Nice or Lyon.
Unlike Guingamp, none of them have made an offer, but Marseille have long followed the 29-year-old. Nice would need to replace Hatem Ben Arfa, whilst Lyon could also need someone to replace Alexandre Lacazette.
