Who has been the best central midfielder in Serie A so far? VOTE!
Readers have voted Inter’s Samir Handanovic as the best goalkeeper in Serie A. The Slovenia International kept 11 clean sheets in 17 games.
With regards to the RB position, Elseid Hysaj has been voted as the finest player in that role, with Marcos Alonso galloping down the opposite flank. Inter’s solid rock defensive duo Joao Miranda and Jason Murillo have been elected as the best two defenders of the league.
Let’s pick up the best two midfielders of the campaign thus far.
And the nominees are (VOTE HERE)…
Allan (Napoli) He joined the Stadio San Paolo from Udinese last summer and his stunning performances have boosted Napoli title hopes. Lot of other big clubs are regretting not to have purchased him last summer instead of the Partenopei…
Daniele Baselli (Torino) Another huge regret for Serie A big sides, especially AC Milan. The 23-year-old is newcomer at Torino but he’s living up to expectations having plundered 5 goals in all competitions so far this season.
Borja Valero (Fiorentina) He’s the Viola’s playmaker since when Montella used to sit on the Artemio Franchi’s bench. He has played all the games thus far netting two goals and registering one assist.
Marcelo Brozovic (Inter) #EpicBrozo is the king of social media and one of the kings of Inter’s midfield. He has only started six times so far but he somehow managed to find three times the net of the goal. Some of the best European sides – especially Arsenal – are interested to sign him in January.
Marten De Roon (Atalanta) One of the best summer signings of the whole league. The 23-year-old Dutchman has started all the games thus far (apart from the Roma clash) and netted his first Serie A goal against Palermo on December 6.
Claudio Marchisio (Juventus) A product of the Bianconeri Academy as well as Juventus’ new regista after the Pirlo-era. The Old Lady has never lost one single game when he was on the pitch. Vital.
Miralem Pjanic (Roma) A free-kick master who had a brilliant start to the season. Roma depend on his delightful touches in the middle of the pitch, though he has recently shown a drop in his performances (but who hasn’t at Roma over the last few weeks?)
Paul Pogba (Juventus) Please read Pjanic’s description the other way around. Pogba has struggled a lot at the beginning of the campaign, but his latest performances have helped Juventus to get back on track toward their 5th successive Serie A title.
