WATCH: Gonzalo Higuain breaks epic record like a boss
Despite the Napoli hitman having a freakish season, he still needed a massive three goals against Frosinone yesterday to beat Gunnar Nordahl's record of 35 Serie A goals in a single season.
Most were talking about the Argentinian monster scoring twice to equal the record. Though he was playing a horrific defence, many thought that would be too tall an order.
At half-time, they seemed to have called it right, with Higuain still scoreless, though team-mate Hamsik had equalled a record of his own, Diego Maradona's 81 Serie A goals with Napoli.
Gonzalo reacted, opening his account on 52 minutes.
Ten minutes later, he scored again.
Then, ten more minutes down the line... he did this.
Congratulations Mister Higuain... it's been a privilege.GOOOALLLLLAZZOOOOOO!!!!!!!! GOAL GOAL GOAL!!!!! Record no. 36!!!!!! And what a number 36. #Higuain #NapoliFrosinone pic.twitter.com/qRAPYaPIje
