Wantaway XI: Players who want to switch clubs in order to make EURO 2016
GOALKEEPER
Salvatore SIRIGU (PSG)
Former Palermo shot-stopper is Kevin Trapp’s second choice since the Germany Intenational joined the club last summer. Sirigu rejected to play the last Champions League game as he wants to play the competition with another club, though his January departure is out of question for PSG.
DEFENDERS
Mathieu DEBUCHY (Arsenal)
With Hector Bellerin galloping down Arsenal’s right flank, the French full-back is looking for a new team which can guarantee him more playing time. Roma and Juventus have been linked with the player.
Andrea RANOCCHIA (Inter)
The Italian central defender missed Italy’s World Cup campaign in 2014 and he doesn’t want history to repeat itself with EURO 2016. Sevilla FC and Bologna have requested the player’s services. He is expected to sign with the Serie A side after Christmas.
Ivan STRINIC (Napoli)
He was one of the best player under Rafa Benitez last term, while he has failed to play on a regular basis with Maurizio Sarri in charge on Napoli. Premier League side Southampton are interested to sign him.
MIDFIELDERS
Kevin GROSSKREUTZ (Galatasaray)
He is not playing in Turkey due to bureaucratic issues and late submission of documents. He won the World Cup in 2014 and he wants to take part to the EURO 2016 campaign too.
Gokhan INLER (Leicester)
Claudio Ranieri has found the right balance between attack and defense without the former Napoli man. Joining Aston Villa or another Serie A club could be the right move to feature at EURO 2016.
Miguel VELOSO (Dynamo Kyiv)
He is frustrate with playing time in Ukraine, though he is one of the most experience Portuguese players. Milan have been linked with the former Genoa midfielder.
Kevin MIRALLAS (Everton)
He has started only one Premier League game so far this season. Roberto Martinez usually plays Koné and Deulofeu down the flanks and leaving the Goodison Park might be his only chance to make EURO 2016 with Belgium.
STRIKERS
Isaac THELIN (Bourdeaux) He won the U-21 EURO with Sweden only one year ago but he could miss the tournament reserved to senior players next summer. Thelin scored three goals in 27 games with the club last term, though he has only five appearances in the current Ligue 1 campaign.
Manolo GABBIADINI (Napoli) Former Sampdoria star is the true top-player of our starting XI. He is not happy in Naples as he is only considered as a mere back-up of Gonzalo Higuain. He has amazing potential and we could be admiring his qualities in Bologna from the next month.
Andrej KRAMARIC (Leicester) Juventus and Inter wanted to sign him not less than 12 months ago. The 24-year-old is also facing a high level of competition in the Croatian attacking pack as Mario Mandzukic and Nikola Kalinic are blazing a trail at Juventus and Fiorentina respectively.
