    Villareal match Soriano €15m release clause, deal imminent

    Roberto Soriano is close to joining Villareal, according to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the LaLiga side will match Soriano’s € 15 million release fee. Sampdoria’s sporting director Carlo Osti is finalizing the deal with all the parties involved.

    Soriano is not part of the squad for Sampdoria’s friendly game against Chievo today, another proof that the former Italy International is close to move away from the Marassi.

    Verre (Pescara), Praet (Anderlecht) and Bruno Fernandes (Udinese) are on Sampdoria’s shortlist to replace the former Inter and AC Milan target.
