Verratti: "If I leave PSG I will return to Italy"
Italy midfielder Marco Verratti has been speaking at a press conference this morning ahead of his country’s opening World Cup qualifier in Israel on Monday. He was first asked about his road to recovery to which he replied; “I have worked very hard and now I need some game time. I feel good and with Ventura we are working on my position on the pitch. I would love to be part of a successful national team but we have to take it one game at a time”.
DESIRE TO RETURN:
Verratti was then asked about the possibility that one day he will return to Italy to which he explained that; “I’m happy at Paris Saint-Germain but if one day I had to leave then for sure I would like to return to Italy. Asked if he had had any contact with Mario Balotelli since his arrival in France he replied; “No I’ve not heard anything but I’m convinced that Nice will be a good place to restart his career”.
