Verratti hints at eventual PSG departure, Real, Chelsea and Barca on standby
Currently chased by the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, the 24-year-old is rightly considered a hot commodity on the transfer market.
Speaking to the popular Canal Football Club show (via Le10Sport), the Italy stalwart – who missed Euro 2016 because of a sports hernia – commented something he said earlier this season, when he promised that he wouldn’t leave PSG until he’d won the Champions League there.
“Will I leave after winning the Champions League? It’s a challenge that I’ve set myself.
“But I don’t want to leave at the moment, but anything can happen”.
The former Pescara man dropped a key hint, however, making it appear that the Ligue 1 title holders were more of a stepping stone than a final destination.
“When a team like Real or a Coach like Carlo [Ancelotti] are said to want me, I can only thank PSG. They trusted me, and made me feel important in my first season.
“The club will always have a place in my heart”.
