Valencia offer Manolo Gabbiadini escape from Napoli
The Italian tactician is a long time admirer of the Napoli outcast who is struggling to get regular game time under Maurizio Sarri despite Arkadiusz Milik’s lengthy layoff.
Gabbiadini is not a classic centre forward and is failing to live up to the level of the Polish striker who had netted seven goals in nine appearances with the partenopei before picking up an ACL tear while on duty with his national team last month.
The Italian striker has only two goals in 12 appearances and Maurizio Sarri is regularly starting Dries Mertens as false nine in place of the product of Juventus academy who is considering leaving Napoli in the incoming transfer window.
With Cesare Prandelli’s Valencia looking for a new striker, the Italian tactician would welcome his compatriot with open arms at the Mestalla in January.
