    Udinese: Colantuono on thin ice

    • Lorenzo Bettoni (@lorebetto)
Udinese manager Stefano Colantuono is on very thin ice at the Stadio Friuli, as the Black and Whites are hovering just one point above the relegation zone, with the second worst attack of the league after Verona.

Pressure has been mounting on the 53-year-old, who has previously coached Atalanta, Torino and Palermo. According to the Italian paper Il Corriere dello Sport, Colantuono might be sacked if he fails to conjure up a win in the Zebrette's next serie A game against Sampdoria.

The sackings are coming thick and fast this year, with five managers already leaving the chopping blocks without their heads: the Blucerchiati have just torpedoed manager Walter Zenga, and Vincenzo Montella is reported to be very close to become the Genoese club’s new boss.
