Transfer News: Arsenal offer 19m for Brozovic, #EpicBrozo's value has doubled
It's been a heck of a few weeks for Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
After beginning the season as someone whom Inter were ready to axe, the Croatian has suddenly made the central midfield his own, scoring two fabulous, identical goals against Udinese and Cagliari, and generally playing very well, combining his energy and determination with good technique and a canny read on the game.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal have made a €19 million offer for Brozovic, whom the Nerazzurri had brought in for a mere €8 million. We’d previously reported that both the Gunners and Chelsea were interested in the Croatian midfielder.
Yesterday's edition of the Corriere dello Sport further underlines the Croatian's purple patch, and the interest this has generated:
"Marcelo didn't adapt in the beginning to this new experience, and consequently struggled. Even now he isn't an indisputable starter, but as of November 22nd he's scored three goals in five games. At 23, Mancini believes him to be one of the crown jewels of the team he's building for the future, so wants to help him mature gradually and doesn't want to lose him.
That said, over the past few days the presence of representatives from Europe's elite has been noticed in the Giuseppe Meazza, specifically in the conference hall reserved for international scouts. Employees of clubs like Barcelona, Arsenal, Sevilla, Tottenham and Chelsea have been noticed, among others".
Hold on to your seats Inter fans, it's going to be a bumpy ride!
