Tottenham, Pochettino wouldn’t say no to England job offer
The Argentinean tactician was asked whether he would fancy a role as new England boss after the sacking of Sam Allardyce and that’s what he replied.
“Of course I would consider the offer, but not now.”
“It is impossible for me to leave Tottenham at this stage, I’ve just signed a new contract and the time has not come yet.”
Pochettino, 44, was appointed as Tottenham boss in 2014 and was the only Premier League title contenders of Leicester last term even if a defeat in the final day of the last campaign saw Tottenham finishing the campaign in third position, behind hatred rivals Arsenal and Premier League champions Leicester.
The former Argentina International is among the candidates to replace axed Allardyce alongside Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, U-21 England national team boss Gareth Southgate and Steve Bruce. Roberto Mancini is also being linked with the job.
