Torino: Manchester United & Everton target Belotti's 94 million clause
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Andrea Belotti will sign a new deal at Torino until 2021 which will have a buy-out clause inserted into it for €94 million, which will only be valid for clubs outside of Italy.
The journal claims the 22-year-old striker and his agent, Sergio Lancini, will meet with club President Urbano Cairo later this week to discuss the new proposal although a verbal agreement is believed to have already been made. As well as the extension, Belotti will also have his yearly salary doubled to 1.5 million net per season plus performance related bonuses.
Last summer, Arsenal reportedly offered €35 million to try to prize him away from Turin with Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri also making tentative enquiries. There has now been interest from Everton but the real danger looks like it could come from Manchester United; the Red Devils are believed to be monitoring the player's progress in great detail and a summer move cannot be ruled out. A player that arrived in Turin from Palermo for just €8 million in 2015 is turning into one of the success stories of the season in Serie A.
