Three Premier League clubs chasing Ranocchia
Alongside with current Juventus mainstay Leonardo Bonucci he spent an amazing 2009-2010 campaign at Bari, before moving to Genoa and, six months later, finalizing his transfer at the San Siro club, following a € 18.5 million deal.
After a Coppa Italia triumph in 2011, Ranocchia failed to live up to promises at Inter, despite being named as the club’s captain two years ago.
There is little doubt that the 27 year old has been the most blamed player for Inter’s mediocre results over the last three seasons, even if, of course, he was not the only responsible for the Nerazzurri’s lack of trophies.
This season, Joao Miranda and Jaison Murillo are playing on a regular basis and if one of them is suspended or injured, Mancini usually picks Gary Medel, who is actually a holding midfielder adapted as a central defender.
If, on top of this, you add that Roberto Mancini named Mauro Icardi as the team’s new captain, than you can quite clearly reckon that the 27 year old is not on former Manchester City boss' good book anymore.
Ranocchia wants to leave Inter in January to join a club where he can play on a regular basis and hopefully receiving a call-up by Antonio Conte to be on the senior Italy national team at EURO 2016.
Everton, Tottenham and Newcastle are chasing the Italian defender, as well as Inter city rivals AC Milan.
Despite having racked up five appearances in Serie A this season, Ranocchia only played a total amount of 71 minutes this term.
