In the long summer transfer window, Juventus were the undoubted kings of Serie A, but even after they smashed all records to sign Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli, they still missed out on two potential targets; Belgian midfielder Axel Witsel and Brazilian striker Gabigol, who opted to head to the San Siro to join Inter. Nerazzurri president Erick Thohir stated earlier today that; “There was competition from other clubs for Gabigol but he chose Inter personally. He’s a young talent and for this reason we expect him to be an Inter player for many years”.
