The top 5 Serbian youngsters every European club should sign
CM.com’s Aleksandar Miljkovic has highlighted the five best Serbian youngsters that every top European club should sign, before they become too expensive.
Srdjan Plavsic (1195) – His nickname is the same as Giovinco’s: the ‘Atomic Ant’. Plavsic is a pacey left winger very good at technical things and with stunning dribbling skills. Being only 166 cm tall, some domestic clubs had dropped the player when he was younger, but now they might be regretting that choice. He is the Red Star Belgrade’s best assist-man (11) and his price-tag is believed to be in the region of € 2 million.
Sasa Lukic (1196) – Born as a playmaker, he can now cover all roles in midfield. He has vision and personality, he plays for Partizan Belgrade and his side have already rejected a € 2 million offer from Torino and Verona this season.
Andrija Zivkovic (1996) – ‘The Serbian Messi’ will be available for nothing in the summer. AC Milan and Inter had been scouting him before Partizan Belgrade excluded him from the team in January due to his reluctance extend his stay at the club. Zivkovic has scored four goals and registered two assists this term.
Radovan Pankov (1995) – One of the most promising Serbian defenders since Vidic, Ivanovic and Kolarov. Pankov can play as both centre-back or right-back. He’s not very tall (185 cm) but is very fast and strong in one-to-one situations. His side Vojvodina have placed a € 1 million price-tag on him.
Nemanja Mihajlovic (1996) – Another player belonging to Partizan. He replaced Andrija Zivkovic in the best way possible. He can play down both flanks and in Serbia he’s been linked with Arjen Robben. He registered 9 assists and scored one goal in the last ten games of the season.
