The Five: top transfer stories of the day
The azzurri want to reinforce their team’s flank and are thinking again about Manchester United 26-year-old Matteo Darmian. After just one season in the Premier League, the former Torino man could then rejoin his home country.
4. CUADRADO FOR JUVE’S FLANK
Also Juventus are seeking a wingback, and they could bring Juan Cuadrado back to Turin. At the end of the last campaign, Juve decided not to take the 28-year-old on a permanent deal; the €20 million price-tag the main reason behind this. New Chelsea MANAGER Antonio Conte has never hid his admiration for the player but in last-night’s league opener against West Ham, Cuadrado was not even named amongst the substitutes; a move that surely means he is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
3. INTER, JOAO MARIO STILL FAR
Sporting CP midfielder Joao Mario remains Inter Milan’s main target, but the famous middleman Kia Joorabchian stated that an agreement has not been reached yet, though the two clubs are still in talks.
2. AC MILAN SPRINT FOR SOSA
The rossoneri keep on seeking an attacking midfielder, and as it seems extremely difficult to sign Rodrigo Betancur, they are ready to swoop again for Besiktas 31-year-old Jose Ernesto Sosa. The agent of the former Napoli man is arriving in Milan.
1. ICARDI WILL RENEW WITH INTER
The rupture between the Argentinean striker and the nerazzurri will probably be avoided. The parties are about to reach an agreement for a new contract, even though the new deal won’t become official before the next two months.
