The rivalry between Atletico and Real Madrid is becoming stronger day by day. According to Mundo Deportivo, the battle for the leadership of the Spanish capital is not only confined to the pitch, but will be extended to the summer transfer window as well.

The Spanish paper claims that the agent of José Gimenez has scheduled a meeting with the Colchoneros to agree a new release clause for his client.

The Uruguay International’s current release fee is set to € 65 million and Gimenez has attracted the interest of Real Madrid that could sell Raphael Varane to Manchester United of Bayern Munich in the summer.
