Szczesny's shocking revelation: 'I want to stay at Roma to win the Scudetto!'
Talk about a shock declaration!
Long seen as someone who was going through the motions in Rome, Roma's starting goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has now said that he "would like to stay with Roma".
This, admittedly, isn't the first time that the Polish international - who is on loan from Arsenal - has made such a statement.
Szczesny was speaking to the Messaggero, to whom he also said that "it doesn't obviously depend from me. I'd like to stay, I know Roma and Arsenal are talking about it, we'll see what happens.
"I'm happy to have helped the team, it should be aiming for the Scudetto next year".
The Polish international, who has been an Arsenal player since 2009, is coming off a strong performance between the sticks, denying Napoli star striker Gonzalo Higuain before team-mate Radja Nainggolan earned the win with a last-gasp effort.
With the rumour mill backing the 26-year-old's recent statements, could he end up making Rome his permanent home?
