Swansea City, OFFICIAL, Guidolin sacked
Swansea City has parted company with Italian coach Francesco Guidolin and replaced him with former USA national team boss Bob Bradley BBC Sport reports.
Having taken charge of the club in January, the 61-year-old has not registered a Premier League win since the opening day of the new season. Saturday’s 1-2 home defeat to Liverpool was actually a little harsh on the Welsh side but after 48 hours to consider his future, club bosses have decided to relieve him of his duties. His backroom staff of Diego Bortoluzzi, Gabrielle Ambrosetti and Claudio Bordon have also departed.
It was rumoured that Ryan Giggs could possibly become his successor but the nod has been given to Bob Bradley (who arrives from French second division side Le Havre) by the American owners Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien whilst Chairman, Huw Jenkins, has also been impressed by the 58-year-old after recent meetings. Bradley’s first match in charge will be away to Arsenal on October 15 after the international break.
