Aquilani wants to end career with Roma
Released at the end of the last season by Fiorentina, former Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani has signed a three-year deal with Liga Sagres side Sporting CP.
Interviewed by Chi, the former Liverpool player stated:
“When my agent told me about the possibility to play for three years in Portugal, for Sporting, I didn’t hesitate.
"I have two goals here: to regain a place in the Italian National team and obtain Conte’s confidence”.
Aquilani went on to talk about his connection with boyhood club Roma, the first team to give him a shot at the big leagues.
"My dream is to end my career at AS Roma. I know that it will be an extremely difficult task to accomplish, but in life you never know what can happen”.
