    Through his club’s official website, AS Roma head coach Luciano Spalletti has recalled the days of his arrival in Rome: “The team was going through a hard time, it happens in football. In such situations, mental strength and a desire to work hard are even more decisive: the boys worked well, and that’s how we were able to climb the table. Now we must improve”.
    “Some decisions are guided exclusively by reason and others are influenced by feelings: mine was the latter”, the Tuscan tactician added. If you manage to qualify for the Champions League in Serie A you’ve done your job and you’ve done it well, especially if teams like Inter, AC Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio all failed to reach this target. We did well, and so did Napoli, while Juventus did fantastically. Thinking in terms of the different positions, you shouldn’t specify what can be improved because the team as a group is where improvements need to be made. Of course, if you look at the statistics you might say that the defence can be improved.”
