Atletico Madrid have set their sights on Inter striker Mauro Icardi as an alternative to Gonzalo Higuain. Corriere dello Sport claims that coach Diego Simeone has even called the players wife Wanda Nara, to try to convince her husband to join il Colchoneros this summer. The journal reports that an engagement of €3.5 million net per season is on the table with €35 million heading into the Inter bank account.
 

But Atletico faces stiff competition from the Premier League with Spurs prepared to outbid the Spaniards with an offer to Inter of €45 million.  

Amongst all this, his current club do not want to part with their star striker and Corriere dello Sport that the nerazzurri have made it clear to everyone that he is not for sale. Thanks to the arrival of the Suning Group, Inter no longer has to worry about selling the Argentine frontman to balance the books in relation to Finacial Fair-Play.
