Shaqiri doesn't rule out Inter comeback
Roberto Mancini was only too happy to agree to his departure during the summer, letting him join the Premier League side Stoke City on a € 17 million deal. Despite having spent only six months at San Siro, Shaqiri doesn’t seem to have bad memories about his Serie A spell.
“Unfortunately not everything at Inter has gone the right way”, Shaqiri told fcinternews.it.
“Last summer the club needed to sell someone and I was among the only few players that have offers. Now, I am happy to play in the best league in the world, but I was happy at Inter too, with the exception of the last few weeks.”
“Honestly, I hope they’ll make the Inter fans happy this year, winning at least a trophy”.
Differently from his former team-mate Mateo Kovacic, the former Bayer Munich doesn’t have any complaints about Roberto Mancini’s behavior.
“To me, he is a special manager. I had a regular relationship with him. You never know what can happen in football and that’s why I can’t exclude that one day I will come back at Inter.”
