Serie A threw up some more classic encounters in week nine, none more so than the Derby della Lanterna in Genoa which Sampdoria won 2-1. He may have been on the losing side at the weekend, but rossoblu goalkeeper Mattia Perin makes it into the team of the week after a superb display. 


 

IN the centre of defence, scorer of Atalanta’s first goal in their 2-1 win over Inter, Andrea Masiello, plays alongside Nikola Maksimovic, who scored his first goal for Napoli in their narrow win at Crotone. His teammate Ivan Strinic joins him in the best XI. Fabrizio Cacciatore (Chievo) makes up the back-four.  

Lazio’s Felipe Anderson, Cagliari’s David Di Gennaro, Roma’s Leandro Paredes and Fiorentina’s two-goal hero Federico Bernardeschi make up the midfield quartet with hattrick man Nikola Kalinic (Fiorentina) and Roma’s Edin Dzeko (current top scorer in Serie A) making up front two.
