    Empoli and Palermo opened the Serie A matchday 30 in a game which was definitely more important for the Sicilians rahter than for the Tuscans.

    The Rosanero are now only two point above the relegation zone, but Frosinone have a match in hand and would leapfrog the Rosanero with a win tomorrow against Fiorentina. 

    Walter Novellino coached his second game as Palermo manager after he lost his debut match against Napoli last week.
