SCOUTING REPORT: Juve & Napoli keeping tabs on Toljan

The German men’s Olympic football team have reached the final in Rio where they will face Brazil. Juventus and Napoli fans might want to take an extra interest in the games as their’s one particular player on show that is causing great interest for the two clubs.

     A MULTI ETHNIC TALENT
The player in question is versatile full-back Jeremy Toljan; a second generation German who was born to an American father and Croatian mother in 1994. His career started at Stuttgart Kickers and then in 2011, he joined Hoffenheim where he has already made 34 appearances in the Bundesliga. Naturally right-footed, Toljan is just as adept with his left which makes him a manager’s dream at any level.

5 OUT OF 5 IN RIO
His journey with the German national team continues and he has already rejected the advances of USA head-coach Jurgen Klinsmann. At the games in Rio he has been present in all five of his country’s games en-route to the final.

    NAPOLI AND JUVE OBSERVE
During his excellent summer in Rio, the 22-year-old has ended up in the notebooks of scouts representing several clubs around Europe; among these were Napoli and Juventus who already made enquiries in 2015. Competition is strong however with PSG, PSV Eindhoven, Schalke 04 and Borussia Monchengladbach all showing strong interest. His current deal at Hoffenheim expires in two-year’s time; Juve and Napoli remain in the mirror.
