Scouting Report: Introducing Juve target Alex Gersbach
With Juve’s continuing search to find some of the world’s best young talent, latest reports suggest that CEO Marotta and Sporting Director Paratici are keeping a watchful eye on 19-year-old Rosenborg left-back Alex Gersbach.
The Australian born defender has a profile that suits the bianconeri blue-print; adept at playing as a left-back or in a more advanced attacking role, Gersbach arrived in Norway in January for a reported fee of $500,000 from Sydney FC and made his debut for the club in March in a 1-0 win over Stromsgodset. Scouts from across Europe have descended on Rosenborg to check out the youngster in action and in what has been a truly memorable 2016, in June, he made his senior debut with the Australian national team.
Juventus are aware that players with the attributes of Gersbach do not come along often and it is now possible that negotiations will commence to try to find a synergy with the Norwegian club and bring the latest Socceroo star to Serie A.
