Schweinsteiger rejects Benfica move

Manchester United outcast Bastian Schweinsteiger has refused a move to Benfica. The Portuguese side had made a contract offer to the former Bayern Munich man who, however, has opted to stay at the Old Trafford.

Sporting CP had also made offer for the Germany International, but the player also rejected a move to the club.

Schweinsteiger, 32, doesn't want to leave Manchester United and is apparently motivated to stay at the club and fight for a place under new boss Jose Mourinho.
