Roma are searching for a new left-back after the unfortunate injury to Mario Rui. Darmian of Manchester United is too expensive whilst the Inter trio of Santon, D’Ambrosio and Dodo will not be available for different reasons. La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Schalke 04 duo of Dennis Aogo and Sead Kolasinac have become the two front runners.
 

Meanwhile, there has been a further delay in bringing Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny back to the capital. The club has an agreement with Arsenal for another season long loan but the player’s agent is also talking to Everton. Barcelona defender Thomas Vermaelen also remains an idea but the Catalan club is asking €10 million for his signature.
