Sassuolo: Inter never made an offer for Berardi

Sassuolo's CEO claims that Inter never made an offer for Domenico Berardi, and that the Calabrian wants to stay with the Neroverdi.

His statements come in light of a complaint from the Nerazzurri, who believe that Juventus excercised undue pressure on Sassuolo to stop the striker from moving to the San Siro.

Juventus had previously obtained a verbal agreement with the Neroverdi - but nothing in writing- on a €25 million move.

“Berardi expressed his preference to remain here for another year,” Giovanni Carnevali told Il Messaggero, “his move to another club has been postponed [curious chose of words], Inter have never made an offer for him [really? ed.]”.

“Juventus never said no to Inter. Berardi is untouchable at the moment”.

He also had something to say about Francesco Acerbi, the former Milan flop who is in Inter's sights.

“He is also out of bounds at present, and it won't be easy to sign Andrea Ranocchia”.
