Sassuolo: Inter have asked after Napoli, Atletico target Vrsaljko

Inter are seriously considering basing their coming transfer window around Sassuolo. And they're after two Juventus and Atletico Madrid targets, if one of Sassuolo's directors, Andrea Carnevali, is to be trusted.

“It's true that Inter have askes us for Sime Vrsaljko,” he recently told La Gazzetta di Modena [which is neaby, ed.], “and they've offered a number of players as part of the deal, but Napoli and Atletico Madrid are still in the running, too”.

Owner Giorgio Squinzi has reportedly set the Croatian's price tag at €18 million, a sum Inter hope to reduce by offering a player as a kicker, potentially Andrea Ranocchia. Our sources tell us that Atletico Madrid are still ahead in the race, and that Napoli are keeping an eye on the situation.

If things are going well for Berardi, Carnevali doesn't seem so keen to give away some of his other talents. “As far as I know there have been no negotiations for Domenico Berardi, they're only rumours. As I've always said, we don't have to sell him. We want to reinforce Sassuolo, not weaken the team.

“We want to speak to Juventus, Berardi's agent and  the youngster himself before making a decision. Everything is possible”.

Another name that we've linked to Inter, that of former Milanista Francesco Acerbi, also seems to be a dead end, as is that of ex-Inter youth Alfred Duncan: “Acerbi is one of the players we don't want to part with Acerbi, I hope and think that he'll remain. The same goes for Duncan”.

Duncan, for those who don't remember, scored a screamer in Sassuolo's recent 2-0 win over AC Milan this season. Inter gave him away for a paltry €2.6 million, and he's now worth at least twice as much, according to our latest estimates.
