Sassuolo DS announces Berardi return
The Italian winger has remained out of action for the last 70 days despite his knee injury being considered not serious. Berardi was initially thought to face a layoff of just 20 days, reality is, he had to remain out of action for more than two months.
“Berardi’s injury is tougher than expected”, Carnevali told GR Parlamento on Monday evening.
“The worst is over now and Berardi will return to action in two or three weeks time.”
Berardi has had an amazing start to the season with seven goals netted in the opening six games of the season, but the Italian starlet is out of action since the 28th of September when he picked up a knee injury during the Serie A clash between Sassuolo and Pescara.
Sassuolo boss Di Francesco will be delighted to hear some good news coming from his director of sport as the Italian tactician claimed last week that Berardi’s recovery time is still uncertain.
