Sassuolo chairman: 'Inter don't have the funds to sign Berardi'

Sassuolo's chairman claims that Inter don't have the funds to sign Domenico Berardi.

“I haven't the slightest idea where he will end up, it's out of our control.” Giorgio Squinzi told attendees at a conference held at the club's research facilities, “If Juventus want him, they can buy him because we already have an agreement with them”.

Is he saying that the Bianconeri have pulled out, or are baulking? Squinzi continued by saying that he has some doubts about an eventual move to Inter.

“If he were to stay, I'd happy because I'm a big fan of his.

“As a Milan fan, it would be a pity to see Domenico go to Inter, but I don't think that the Nerazzurri have the finances to buy him anyway”.

This is interesting in light of Inter Coach Roberto Mancini's alleged summer targets: a big fan of Berardi, Manolo Gabbiadini and Antonio Candreva, it appears that he may have to veer for the Napoli and Lazio players, respectively.

Quite how Candreva would be within reach is a tough one, since his price also seems to be veering around the €30m mark.
