Sassuolo boss Di Francesco doesn’t rule out Milan
“There are a lot of teams that can qualify for Europe League. By the way, our target is to avoid relegation. If we’ll manage to do so, than we’d more than happy to finish better than last season.”
“Next year the club want to build a new training centre, but if I wasn’t a manager I would never enter a Serie A stadium. I can’t tolerate supporters rooting against each others’ teams as well as tension and swear words.”
Sassuolo’s positive results during this Serie A campaign might lead Di Francesco to bigger opportunities in the future. The former Roma player has been also linked with the AC Milan bench before Mihajlovic was appointed as the Rossoneri senior team coach last summer.
“After the defeat against Milan, Berlusconi has joined me in the backroom at San Siro telling me that we didn’t deserve to lose, despite our goalkeeper was sent off in the first half. I don’t know if one day I’ll join Milan, never say never. My appointment as Sassuolo manager is part of my growth, I think I am lucky to be where I am now.”
