Samuel Eto’o reveals Samp have yet to pay his salary!
Eto’o spent a six-month spell at the Marassi last season before moving to Antalyaspor in Turkey.
“I am calling you to announce I am going to call a press conference in the next few days”, Et’o told the Secolo XIX journalists.
£There is a very disappointing situation going between me and the club and I believe Samp fans have the right to know.”
“I want to specify I’ve always been a gentleman with the club and that’s the way they’ve always treated. But now I am really fed up with this. I’ve been waiting for nine months and I’ve lost patience now.”
“I am not that kind of player who talks too much on papers and TVs, so much so you’ve never heard anything from me. However, I have to call you now because I can’t talk to any representative from the club since two weeks.”
“It is not only a matter of money”, Eto’o added.
The three times Champions League winner is also believed to be talking about Fabrice Olinga during his next press conference.
The young Cameroonian footballer joined Samp last year under Eto’o’s advice. The club, however, did not believe too much in the player, so much so they loaned him out to Belgian side Mouscron after Eto’o had left the club.
“Ferrero is the most pleasant president I’ve ever had, but not the best one”, Eto’o added.
I had a good relationship with him, but now it’s nine months I’ve been waiting for them to fulfill their promises. I am going to reveal the details of this.”
One of Sampdoria’s lawyers Antonio Romei replied to Eto’o accusations saying the player’s contract was cancelled by mutual agreement adding that Sampdoria paid Everton € 100K to let Eto’o moving to the Marassi six months in advance.
“I don’t know why he says these things”, Mr. Romei told journalists.
“He was the one who was rushing to leave and go to Turkey. Honestly, beating Chievo is the only thing I care about.”
