Sampdoria cancel Cassano's profile from the official Serie A website
The war between Sampdoria and Antonio Cassano is destined to continue, from now until the end of the season or until the port club decide to terminate the 34-year-old’s contract which expires in June.
PROFILE DELETED:
For weeks now, Cassano has trained away from the rest of the first-team squad and his profile has been deleted from the official Serie A website. The player has also been prohibited from making any statements to the press in light of the statements he made against Ferrero and Romei last August. These are moves that the club considers legitimate and rightful towards a player who does not feature in any future plans but is still bound by a contract valid and signed by both parties.
A RISK OF BULLYING:
This is not the first incident of this kind to end in a situation such as the one Cassano finds himself in; remember the case of Pandev at Lazio. Cassano is now forced into silence and the only way things will improve is if Samp decides to rip up the contract and cancel the player’s registration and take him off the payroll. Cassano is not a little boy however who has his whole career in front of him, what would we be saying if the player concerned was a little less famous and further away from the limelight?
