Romano reveals why Inter didn't sign Biglia

Inter Milan need to renew their team’s midfield, and –as reported in the last days- have obtained an option from Sampdoria for Roberto Soriano and have found an agreement with Ever Banega, whose contract with Sevilla FC will expire at the end of the current season. However, the nerazzurri were about to sign a new midfielder during the last transfer window: Lazio 29-year-old Lucas Biglia.
The Lombard club’s Sporting Director Piero Ausilio had decided to accomplish the team’s boss Roberto Mancini: after carrying out the transfer of Fredy Guarin to Shanghai Shenua, Ausilio was ready to offer €16 million to the biancocelesti, and the player’s agent were ready to negotiate. By the way, Javier Zanetti himself was involved in the talks. Nevertheless, Biglia suffered an injury, so that Inter decided to renounce to a playmaker and make an investment for a striker like Eder.
In any case, the Argentine still wants to join the nerazzurri. Will it be possible at the end of the season? Difficult: the Lombard club has already its end on Soriano and Banega, and it won’t sign a third midfielder, especially if they won’t qualify for the next Champions League.
